Learn a language while you browse.
Language Mage is a browser language learning sidebar that makes it easy to practice whenever you have a spare moment. Build your vocabulary, get reading practice with Stories, listen to pronunciation, and review what you have learned with quick quizzes. Look up words, save them to a Practice Lab, and when you are done, simply get back to whatever you were doing in your tab.
Spanish, French, and Japanese are supported now, with more languages planned for the future.

Language Mage is built around a simple loop. Find something useful, spend a few minutes with it, then make it easier to review next time.
Learn from words and Stories
Review vocabulary directly or read a Story in your target language with its translation. When a word is unfamiliar, you can stop and work with it.
Save it for practice
Add useful words to a Practice Lab, return to them later, and use quizzes when you want to check whether the word actually stuck.

Practice by actually reading in your target language.
Stories give you a way to see words inside real sentences instead of only reviewing them as isolated cards. Read a paragraph in Spanish, French, or Japanese and use the translation when you need a little help.
Hovering over a supported word connects it to its English translation in the sentence. Click the word to open its meaning and add it to a Practice Lab for later review.

Anki import
Found an Anki deck you want to use? Import it.
You do not need Anki to get started. Language Mage already includes vocabulary for the supported languages. Anki import is simply there when you find an additional deck online that you would like to bring into your language practice.

Keep supported audio
Supported imported cards can retain their audio, so pronunciation can remain part of your review.
